Hello again. So here we are one day into the “Follow My Footsteps” project and I even surprised myself with all I accomplished in the last day and a half.
For those of you who read the blog post yesterday, I had posted a list of my goals this week, something which I will do every week. These goals I make will get bigger and bolder over time. If you didn’t get to read through the weekly goals, just simply click on the previous post.
Yesterday I did manage to get my opt-in sign up form on both of my blogs (as you can see in the upper right hand corner). I also added a new theme which I feel gives this blog a great feel and was definitely in need of the change. This process alone took some time to do because I had to match the colors with Adsense and rearrange the sidebar.

I posted 5 times in the notorious Warrior Forum. I can’t say enough about how important posting relevant information in forums is. It is a great way to get free traffic to your site.
I also figured out how to add screen shots to my blog. This was quite a task but once I got the hang of it, it was easy to do again. There are several programs I could have used, Snagit being one of them, but it turns out Photoshop does it all…duh. It’s simply a matter of using the print screen key on the keyboard and pasting it on to Photoshop. Once you’ve done that you have to use the marquee tool to highlight the area you want, crop it, flatten it, resize it, save it, upload it to my website, then post it on my blog…whew.
So now that I know how to do that, let me catch you up to date with some of my stats. First of all my monthly stats. What we are looking to increase are the visitors, I don’t pay too much attention to anything else here.
You can see that I started in August of last year with 48 total visitors and last month was the biggest traffic month with 8215 visitors. Lets take a look at the most recent stats…
This month has been a bit slower which is I am acting in haste now. Lets take a look at my newsletter subscribers…
Since August of last year I only have 44 active subscribers with 8 yet to confirm. I know for a fact that I have been really lagging in this area so this is one number I am going to be working on drastically.
Last but not least my Adsense $…
That’s a measly $19.11 all time through Adsense. More traffic will definitely bring that number up and I will be monitoring that and all the other stats very closely as I proceed with this project.
I will also be watching my Alexa ranking which is currently at 712,650. One thing I should note, I will be posting these screen shots once a week to show everyone my progress as I continue to work on my home based business.
