Welcome back now to day 16 of “Follow My Footsteps” research project.
Progress has been real slow but… progress is progress right? I’ve decided to wait another week or so before diving into a new niche. After doing some research, I found that pricing for graphics and things was a bit high. Too high for my budget so I am taking the long road and I am going to build my own websites.
The first thing I am going to do is do a complete overhaul of my existing website for this niche to see if I can get a better conversion rate. You can view that site here.
This is my first post of the series this week so let me catch you up to where my stats are again.

Last week I had 1890 total unique visitors, this week I had 1954.+60 visitors this week.

I have +2 more in my opt in list.
There are two other stats I want to start documenting here for research purposes as well. The first are my back links…

According to Seo Centro ( http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/link-popularity.html ) I have 2633 back links. I will be posting this stat on the 1st of every month because this number varies so much. Looking at it once a month will give us a more accurate view of my back link progress.
The last stat I will show you every week is my Alexa traffic ranking…

According to Alexa I have a traffic ranking of 685,826.
Last week I did get a lot of the basics done, ie writing articles, blog posts, submitting my website to online directories, social bookmarking, and the like. However, I fell behind on doing some the technical aspects I wanted to get done. I’m holding back on the contest until I can afford it and I still need to get a photo up.
This week I will be focusing on…
- Studying using Photoshop for the web.
- Use Dreamweaver to rehaul my website. (this may take 2 weeks because I no nothing about using Dreamweaver)
- Write 2 articles.
- Write 7 blog posts and bookmark them all.
- Submit my website to 100 online directories.
Alright, I got a busy week ahead so no time to delay. Next week I will be posting more stats so stay tuned…
