Thanks for the mention Matt, as you've pointed out having effective comments from higher ranking web sites is the best way to generate traffic but it's also important for people to remember that the quality of your traffic is directly related to the type of comments you leave. I encourage people to leave comments on my site (http://www.thisismyurl.com) but also encourage people to leave valid advice instead of just random gibberish. It helps be write a better blog and it also helps other readers.

There are literally millions of blogs online on every subject imaginable. By searching directly, as well as indirectly related blogs to your business, you can network with other bloggers and post insightful comments to their blogs. A tremendous amount of exposure to your web page can be gotten this way. Your blog/business page will benefit from increased search engine ranking and all of the backlinks created will send a steady stream of traffic to your site that you can convert to sales of whatever products/services you are marketing. Make sure your posts on other people’s blogs are relevant to the subject matter and avoid hype and pushy sales pitches. Provide useful content and people will want to know more about you and your business rather than write you off as yet another Internet marketer peddling something they’ve already heard about numerous times. Hi Matt, I just wanted to point out something about the Top Commenter plugin that may stuff up your statistics a little. The blogger can choose whether to have it site wide or just on the home page. Naturally if it only on the home page you only get one link.

Blog commenting is a really fantastic way to market your business online.You get to see a lot of good blogs and learn at the same time.Blog commenting and content writing is the only things I do to market my site.I recently found a software called Comment Kahuna, have you tried it?

Hi Matt: In addition to the backlinks that may generated, whether the blog is follow or no follow, what I find is that if the commenter leaves a sensible thought provoking comment, the visitor is more inclined to visit the said blog. If the comments however are of a low quality then while backlinks may grow, direct human visitor count from the blog comment is lower. Thus it is important to leave sensible comments that partake in the discussion at hand, I believe. Thank you.
